Cheongju Plant, which produces raw material drugs, is located in the Cheongju Industrial Complex and was established in 1976 to make provision of raw materials remain stable. In 2002, its good manufacturing practice for excellent raw material drugs(BGMP) has been accredited, and it focuses on the synthesis of excellent raw material drugs based on this.
Moreover, it is producing 8 kinds of vitamin raw materials on the basis of the high-tech synthesizing techniques of raw materials including Fursultiamine that is being solely produced in Korea. Especially, it has an unique production techniques related to production of lactobacillus drugs based on the potential by which it developed Biovita, the first lactobacillus drug in Korea, and has played a role as a pioneer in the lactobacillus production business through diversified medication types of the lactobacillus drugs.

Since Chungju Plant performs quality tests by ‘Good Manufacturing Practice(GMP)’ and its own examination and testing methods from the purchase of raw materials to manufacturing, packaging and finished products, and skilled quality inspection and test agents perform a thorough quality tests with the latest state-of-the-art equipment, it produces products that have homogenous remedial effects and performs assistance and assurance activities so that stable products can be produced and provided for customers. In addition, it operates a separate quality assurance team that performs a verification of manufacturing processes and quality tests and builds its own quality enhancement system, and was selected by the Korea Food & Drug Administration in Daejeon area as the best company of accuracy management businesses that evaluate pharmaceutical company’s autonomous inspection ability in 2008.
