Ildong Pharmaceutical Expands 'Droptop' Hyperlipidemia Treatment into 3 Additional ASEAN Countries Building Cooperative Relationship with Indonesia's Kalbe Group Across 8 Southeast Asian Markets Ildong Pharmaceutical (Co-CEOs: Paul Woongsup Yun and Chae Joon Lee) announced on the 14th that it has signed an additional agreement with its Indonesian partner Kalbe Farma to expand the supply territory of its 'Droptop' product in order to broaden its presence in Southeast Asia. Droptop is a combination therapy for dyslipidemia that combines rosuvastatin, a statin-class drug that inhibits cholesterol synthesis in the body, with ezetimibe, which suppresses the absorption of cholesterol in the body. Ildong Pharmaceutical has recently signed an agreement with Kalbe International Pte. Ltd. — the distribution subsidiary of Kalbe Farma — to add three additional ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) countries to the Droptop supply scope. With this agreement, Ildong Pharmaceutical has now established a cooperative relationship with the Kalbe Group across a total of eight Southeast Asian countries in the dyslipidemia treatment market, including Indonesia and neighboring countries that were previously covered under the existing supply territory. Ildong Pharmaceutical signed a partnership agreement with Kalbe Farma — Indonesia's leading pharmaceutical company — in 2020 for the supply of Droptop, and has been exporting the product since 2023 following regulatory approval and launch procedures. Droptop is marketed locally under the brand name 'Rozet', recording a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of approximately 130% over the three years since its launch, and currently holds the number one market share in the dyslipidemia combination therapy segment in Indonesia. Building on its partnership with the Kalbe Group, Ildong Pharmaceutical plans to sequentially pursue product approval and launch procedures in the newly contracted countries, while accelerating Droptop's market establishment through locally tailored marketing and distribution strategies. A representative of Ildong Pharmaceutical stated, "Through this agreement, Droptop can now enter most ASEAN member states, which serve as a central pillar of the Southeast Asian economy. We plan to continuously expand the market scope and product lineup together with the Kalbe Group."
