Reflecting on the Founder’s Philosophy of Contributing to Society Through Quality Medicine
Emphasizing Speed and Tenacity Aligned with ‘ILDONG 4.0: Winning Organization’

ILDONG Pharmaceutical Group, including ILDONG Holdings and ILDONG Pharmaceuticals, held a ceremony on the 7th May at its headquarters in Seocho-gu, Seoul, to commemorate its 83rd anniversary.

During the event, employees reflected on the founding philosophy of the late Chairman Yong-gu Yun, who aimed to contribute to society by producing high-quality medicines. They also took the opportunity to express gratitude to the loyal customers who have supported the company over the decades.

In his commemorative address, Vice Chairman Dae-chang Park of ILDONG Holdings remarked, “The late Chairman Yong-gu Yun always prioritized securing superior raw materials and technology and producing excellent pharmaceuticals whenever profits were made.” He emphasized the importance of inheriting the founder’s commitment to quality, research and development, and improving public health.

New Management Framework

Park further stated, “Following ILDONG Pharmaceuticals’ return to profitability in Q4 of last year, the group has embraced its new management framework, ‘ILDONG 4.0: Winning Organization.’ We are diligently pursuing specific goals, including:

• Achieving superior productivity to gain a competitive edge,
• Implementing cost innovations,
• Advancing new drug research and development, and
• Expanding licensing-out opportunities.”

Acknowledging the challenges posed by internal and external circumstances, Park added, “We are bolstered by 83 years of history and tradition, the resilience that has carried us through countless adversities, and the dedication of our remarkable employees. Let us demonstrate the speed and tenacity needed to seize and achieve our goals, propelling us toward a new era of growth.”

The ceremony also included an awards presentation to honor employees who have contributed to the company’s growth. Long-service awards, achievement awards, and commendations for outstanding acts of service were presented, recognizing their dedication and efforts.
